About Me
Welcome to Maven Flux a shop of magical jewels created by me, Cola the metalsmith behind the name.
I have always been a creative person and my creativity has taken many forms before I found my love of working with metal. Metalsmithing is a relatively new medium for me but I have jumped in with both feet and can now say that I have fallen hook, line and sinker in love with creating magical, mystical jewellery. I love being at my bench where I'm often kept company by my two cats Teabag and PomPom!
Combining my love of nature, all things magical and beautifully energetic crystals. I love working with crystals and am fascinated by their healing and metaphysical properties, so it seemed like the perfect pairing.
I draw inspiration from all aspects of my life. In more recent years I've fully accepted and embraced my inner witch, she’s always been there but now she’s been let out and there’s no stopping her. I love reading tarot and oracle cards. Mixing up natural lotions, potions, and remedies wherever I can and have a growing herbal supply shelf! I work with the energy and phases of the moon and allow myself to be guided by her energy. I am learning to work with and take lessons from the medicine wheel with the help and guidance of the Earth Sister Circle I am part of. Journeying often brings forward messages that I then work into my design process.
In my spare time my favourite thing to do is go for a walk in the woods with my family. This still comes as a surprise to my parents, as I wasn’t quite so fond of trees when I was younger! I love curling up in front the fire with my hubby, two little wildlings and a pot of tea to watch a movie.
